Business e-waste FAQs

Straight answers for your IT clearout.

What business IT equipment can Womblers collect?

We collect laptops, PCs, computer towers, servers, monitors, printers, network kit, phones, tablets, cabling and batteries as free business e-waste. Tell us what you have and roughly how much there is, and we can confirm the safest collection route for your site.

Is business IT equipment recycling free?

Qualifying business e-waste collections are free when the equipment and volume make a viable recycling load. We confirm this from your list, photographs and postcode before booking. Smaller volumes that do not qualify for a local collection can usually be sent nationwide by courier, with the route and any costs explained before you proceed.

Can you clear a whole office or only individual items?

Both are possible. We can handle a one-off office clearout after a move, refurbishment or IT refresh, as well as smaller collections of specific equipment. We also discuss scheduled regular collections for organisations with ongoing WEEE, hardware replacement or property-management needs.

What documentation do you provide for business e-waste?

We recycle business equipment through a compliant WEEE route and can provide waste transfer documentation for the collection. A Certificate of Destruction is available on request where required by your records or client policy. We agree the documentation needed before collection so your audit trail is clear.

How should we handle data on old hard drives?

Your organisation remains responsible for protecting its data, so keep access controlled until the equipment is collected. We provide practical data destruction guidance for hard drives and can discuss the documentation you need. Tell us about your devices and policy in advance so the collection plan reflects your security requirements.

Can smaller businesses send e-waste by courier?

Yes. Smaller volumes of business e-waste can be sent nationwide by courier when a full local collection is not practical. We will help you describe and pack the equipment safely, confirm what can travel, and explain the next step before anything is dispatched. Larger loads are usually better suited to a planned collection.

Where do you collect business IT equipment?

We collect locally from offices and organisations within our service area around NN7 2NU, including Northamptonshire towns and villages. For smaller business e-waste volumes, our nationwide courier route can extend the service beyond the local collection radius. Share your postcode, access details and equipment list for a clear recommendation.
